Smartphones and Regular Cell Phones Review
By: Jim Alexander on Wed Mar 25, 2009
The latest buzz in the world of cell phones is "smartphones". These phones are aimed at people who do a lot of business on the go, and provide many features that aren't available with regular cell phones. However smartphones are not for everyone, so if you're smartphone shopping here's a quick guide to figure out which phone is right for you.

The biggest thing that smartphones offer over regular cell phones is e-mail on the go. While most regular cell phones today give you the ability to check your e-mail over the Internet, smartphones store your e-mail from a server on the phone itself, and give you quicker access to it. However if you don't need access to your e-mail on your phone very often, regular cell phones with a modest data plan will do the trick.

Smartphones also tend to have a full keyboard because of their huge dependence on e-mail. Unfortunately this full keyboard is also very small – it is still constrained by the small size of the cell phone. Even so, a full keyboard makes it much easier to send out e-mails, text messages, and Internet browsing is also more convenient. On the other hand, if you're a light user of your phone and don't do much other than using it for phone calls, you will get by just fine with the standard predictive text that most regular cell phones use.
