This is a great gaming system. It gets you off your butt and puts you right in the game. I love it!! You can play tennis, golf, boxing, and so many other things. The extra remote and nunchuck is a must have!. Once you see how fun it is you will want to play everyone that comes over. This is a great system for kids of all ages and adults that will always be young at heart! It was worth all 17 hours in the cold. Have fun & happy gaming!

I'll start off saying I bought the wii on launch day and so far am more than satisfied with it. Yes, the graphics are not next gen, they are slightly better than xbox but, with time will probably find a medium between xbox and 360 graphics. Then, again if you bought it, you know you get fun and innovation, not a supercomputer as nintendo is trying to prove is better. I couldn't agree more. I have Red Steel, Zelda, Madden, and Call of duty 3. So far I think they have pretty much nailed it. The only game I have a problem with is Red Steel, the aiming system is difficult. The controller is great for any FPS, the precision is excellent. I have never felt more immursed in an FPS. Same with Zelda, I feel as if I am actually Link at times swinging my sword. Not only is it great for hardcore gamers but, also for the whole family. My dad is now playing games for the 1st time since SNES. Wii sports is fun for everybody and so is a game like Madden. Nintendo WIFI isnt up yet but will be soon. Next years line up looks unbelievable. Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Smash Brothers Brawl with online play. Lastly, its only $250 and is so quiet you will never even know its there. If you want the most fun out of your games, go with the wii.

I like the wii better than the ps game system. I like being in the game. You get a great workout. I am a 52 year old women that has totally fallen in Love with the wii. I particularlym love the bowling. But all of the sports games are fun. Way to go Nintendo!!

I love this system as soon as it was shown as the revolution and then switched to wii which I like it's pretty nice in my opinion also the controller is nice I was finally able to test it at gamestop and later at my friends it's so much fun, right now best game to play with others i'd say Rayman: raving rabbids and Wii-sports.
The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess is great I only played it some at my friends house I didn't want to play alot of it till I get my own wii to enjoy it so I only have a small impression of it, but it's great the manual is nice, the boxart and the disc is really nice any zelda fan would love it only if the game case was gold that would made it even better.
Zelda:TP is pretty muchly a port of the GC version, but it's great none the less I reccamend you to buy this if you will be getting a wii anytime soon both GC and Wii version is pretty muchly the same, but the controller and some minor differences on the wii with widescreen etc. I give this game 6/6

Pros: The controller is great the speaker is nice not as bad as people say. Good graphics i'm sure they can do better.
Cons: Not many as I can see besides the retailer system mess-up, but NOA makes up for that for responding to it quick.

Lets face it. Nintendo has been making games since long before the Xbox or Playstation. the graphics may not be the best of the three, but hey, i still think the N64's graphics are pretty good. besides, the only thing i can think of that really needs top-notch graphics are FPS, such as Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, so you can snipe enemies without a scope from across the course. this is a system that I would be willing pay more for not like some insane $600 for but I would pay extra. of coures the nintendo folks are dedicated to their fans and always start the price of their new systems like 300 or 200 or something the only problem is that i sit on a bed located directly in front of the T.V. followwed by a wall in my brothers room and the sensor isn't picking up the signal off the controller. good for the price

Unlike a lot of people that arewriting reviews i actrually own the consol.
This consol is NOT 600$ it is 250$. The reson it is so expensive is they are showing you a PACKAGE price. The package comes with a bunch of games and accesories. Now onto the review.
This system is a great system. The innovative control scheme is great but the graphics are just not up to par. Even though they are 1.5 times better that the PS2 they are not even in the same catagory as the PS3 or the 360. It is worth getting due to its low price but you will have trouble due to the fact it is sold out everywhere except ebay. Don't buy it on ebay because the prices are too high. Wait till stores get them and are not sold out in a matter of minutes.

Now, let me say up front that I have been a fan of Nintendo since the day the NES came out. However, there was a period where I was not happy with the Revolution (as it was then called), because of the fact its dead last in terms of power, and for fear that no one would make ports for it because of the oddball control scheme.
However, that said, I love my Wii, and will happily take it over the 360 and the PS3 any day of the week. As for the graphics, well, like I said, I'm about as old school of a gamer as you can get (my first system was an Atari, only the Coleco people have got me beat), and I can tell you from 20 years of video game play experience that graphics don't mean squat if you don't have great gameplay to back them up.

My husband and I absolutely love the Wii!! It takes gaming to a whole new era. At least we don't just sit on the couch all day playing it. It requires phyisical activity. Our only problem was that we had to buy another $40 controller just to play another person without switching around remotes. My two sisters have come up to stay with us and both have had so much fun playing. At first my husband looked stupid playing but once I got into it, it was to much fun to let down. I reccommend this to anyone who wants a game to play but with a new twist. This is something I would let my daughter play because you can't sit down on the couch to play it.

What I love about the Wii is that it appeals to young and old, gamers and none gamers.if you dont want new games, they have a huge selection of true classics on a downloading system, (VC).It gets you off the couch, into another world. one minite, your in your living room, anonther, your hitting home runs in a baseball field. It also has a one of a kind mainscreen menu. it can show you pics from your SD card, you can make cartoony 3-D avatars for your games, check the wheather, browse the internet, look at the latest news, and send messages to all your friends!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my Wii! It is awesome fun. Using the controller as you do puts you right in the game, and for a girl who never really got into video games previously, this set surprised me. I love it. Hard to find, yes, but worth the wait. I got lucky and happened to be in a WalMart 7 days before Christmas when they announced that they had just gotten 5 Wii's and I ran back to electronics and got the last one. What a find. Well worth the money. Great family fun. Everyone should have one. The graphics are very simple in the included Sports game.. but haven't really tried any others so maybe it's just that game. It won't matter tho.. you won't even notice once you start swingin' that bat or club and practicing your hook shot at the lanes. Great, great system.

Games may be a good way to challenge oneself, but the extreme that these games provide let the kid stay inside all day long and do nothing. I hope parents limit there use so they dont have kids with problems. But like I said before..not worth the price and to expensive.

My husband and I are approaching 56 and 59. I have never played sports or any video games.
We bought it for the exercise and found it to be a lot of fun and it gets you moving and getting some exercise.
It's fun for older people too!

The nintendo wii is awesome, i got it like a year ago. there is no problem with the system.{unlike the 360}. the games are awesome like mario kart wii, super mario galaxy, and ssmb Brawl, and others. So I got this system as a gift and was not convinced by the reviews on the nunchuck. However after just a few minutes of playing I was hooked. The motion sensitive controllers are great a work in just about every possible direction.
If you are playing for the first time, take a break after an hour. 2 hours of Wii boxing, and I could hardly move the next day.
The downsides however are that you are sure to damage your surroundings, so give yourself plenty of space. So far I have destroyed several nearby glasses and mugs, and even hit my girlfriend a couple of times, although she has hit me as well (accidentally, apparently).

And the Wii shop channel allows you to buy classic nintendo and sega genisis games. the only bad thing about that is that you need to play with a classic controller to play sega genisis games but you can play NES, SNES and N64 games with ur games cube controller or the Wii controller

You should definetly get it. Who cares about the grafics it is like you are really there. What other system can you aculy swing the controler and it can tell. I recomend it alot

i love the system it has a great new spin on gaming. it is a great way to allow your kids to do something they love and keep them from just sitting on their butts all day. the wii sports that comes with the system is awsome. the only problem i have found with the system is that it is hard to get used to the new controlls but once you get used to it, it is great. i mean the system is designed for children 6 and up and my 3 year old can play some of the wii sports games.

The game titles for this system are weak, the controllers are innovative and fun to use but require some mastering before you can get used to it. Overall for the cost the PS2 out performs the Wii, the Wii uses a DVD-CD drive but can't read DVD's, the PS2 can, plus the PS2 has better games and slightly better graphics, If money isn't a problem then you should go buy an XBOX360 or a PS3.

the wii when i first got it was fun for like a month wii sports loses its edge in like a week. th eonly reason i got the wii is to play mario and zelda and metriod games i love nintnedo back then but now what are they doing? first the graphics for this system aren terribly bad but people should be a lot more critical there giving it like what 5 stars when it deserves a 1. the games to me were good but then falling horribly fast. mario galaxy twilight princess and corruption were great but after that the wii hasn't really given the "hardcore" games what they want. they come out with trash like wii fit witch is only going for the "casual gamers" Nintendo completely killed the hardcore gamers. the controls are for the most part unresponsive which is why there coming out with wii motion plus. if you are going to get this system be carefull its only for the really young and the really old i would highly not recomend it for any kid 12 or older they will hat eit with in a month.

Overall this is a total waste of money unless you already own all the other systems and want to play wii sports (The only good game on the thing) The graphics are that of the PS2 (Old Generation system), while they still charge you for a newgen system. The sound is bad because you are not playing in Dolby 5.1 or 7.1 like you can on the 360 or PS3. It can be fun, but the control only works well with sports games. Adventure and shooting games are down right horrible. I give it a 3 outta 10 on the quality scale.

I remeber i really want to beg for this product and now I have it as well. It can be really fun. With the extended wii remote sensitivity, it offer more ways to play!!! And they are really comming out with alot of good games.
I gave it a 4 out of 5 for graphics, because its nintedo, but it also really depends on the game. For example the Zelda game is really good graphics for the wii game. And I recommend alot of the party type games such as mario kart and super smash and boom blox!!!
I like the sound on some games, but its kind of annoying on the wii mote. But after awhile you tend to ignore it. You aren't going to get surround sound here (unless the game has it and the TV has it).
Controls are really really fun for all. In Zelda I really felt like I was fishing, swinging a sword, or even shooting something.
Again the gameplay and controls make it fun it self. And with that, makes it possible for more ways to play a game and as well as the great games out there.
The only bad thing is the limited disk space. Saving things inside a game wont be problem, but if your going to download things, be sure to watch that space. And because of the disk space the games for rockband and guitar hero can't have downloaded songs.

I got the wii a week ago and have loved it since. I like that you can get on the internet. The Wiimotes suck the life out of Batteries so I got a Recharger and some battery packs. If you are thinking about getting one, Get it.

I recieved this game for my 43rd birthday. I absolutely love this game. It has given myself and family a whole new outlook on working out and enjoying a small bit of family competion. I can't run on a normal basis due to heart and knees but I can with WII.

This console is just one of the best things to come from nintendo. It is great for casual gamers and family. I just love playing all the fun video games they have for the Wii. The FREE internet is also a fun thing to have. It's nice to go online with your friends for free and just have fun.
Bad thing is though not very good graphics and not really for hardcore gamers. The console is fun but I felt like I needed some more action here and there. Hopefully some new titles will come out have this.

I think this is one of the most versatile game systems on the market. Almost every age group can benefit from the variety of games and fun that can be obtained from this system. Also, the chance to burn some calories by getting off the couch is a definite thumbs up.

I bought one for my parents--both in their 80s. You ought to see them twisting and laughing when they do the ski slolam--but more importantly--they are moving in ways I haven't seen in years and improving their balance, muscle tone and coordination. Who cares about aesthetics!

the wii was fun when i first got it over looking the graphics it lacking, but as time went on and i passed the 2 or 3 titles that interested me. every other game i try i just cant seem to get into. weather its the crappy controls of third party games or the age frame aimed at by the good folks at nintendo. if your looking for a real system go for a ps3 or 360, but if your strap for cash or getting a system for your kids go with the wii.
