ENJOY! This TV does nothing wrong and lets keep in mind DLP will outlast Plasma and LCD. All you "should" have to do when the picture goes out is replace the bulb not buy a new TV like the plasma or LCD. For me it works amazing for everything. I love to watch movies, check, it is GREAT for movies. I love to watch sports, check, i dare you to try and find something that allows as great color and picture quality. And I love gaming, check check, It has a freakin game mode to enhance the quality of picture for your video games..... if you have Xbox 360, this is a must. Like I said ENJOY!

Pros: Everything (Picture, connections, easy use)
Cons: no PIP (who cares) and sound could be better (but who cares when you hook up sorround sound)

I run XBOX 360, HD DVD, and Time Warner Cable HDTV through this baby and the accuracy is stunning. It actually beats my SONY SXRD in many areas. No red push, excellent greyscale, etc. For $2200 there is no finer tv on the planet. The only thing you need is a Surround Sound. Speakers are weak. But I am sure anyone buying this TV will have one. One note, this TV and many others will not pass Dolby Digital through the TV. You must bypass it. Wish it would so HDMI cable would be the only connection. No major flaw, just a minor compaint. Also some people might want a cable card slot. I run a HD DVR so not an issue. If yyou need those extras they have the HL-S5088W for a couple hundred more to solve that. Buy it, you'll love it!

Pros: Stunning Picture, Bright Picture, Accepts 1080P thru HDMI
Cons: No Cable Card, PIP. Wont pass DD 5.1

I just hooked up the TV this week and was literally blown away at the piture quality on the HD channels and when watching DVDs. It is much better than what I saw in the store and that was good enough for me to purchase it!
As far as the sound quality, I don't really have a comment on that since I pull sound directly off the cable box and into a surround sound receiver, I am not using the TV's speakers or sound system.
I got the TV for $1600 at CC and it is well worth the money. Best TV out there for that price.

It's early, I know (we've had it less than a month) but we are truly tickled by this purchase.
I cannot comment on the sound quality (which I have seen knocked in some reviews) as we do not use the TV's sound.
We're using HDMI from HD cable box and love the picture. Obviously only 1080i from cable, but the resolution does make a difference. We have a standard-def DVD player with HD upconvert that looks very good, too--again, 1080i. Settings are abundant and the menus are very friendly.
Purchased from a regional brick-and-mortar electronics chain in January 2007 for under $1,500 (including delivery), and we're very happy with it so far. For that price it was unbeatable.

When watching sports and the camera moves, it gets blurry. Sometimes peoples face fade out or lose detail. Sometimes you can see the colors moving around ex. when they show someones jacket it looks like the colors are constantly reforming. I'm disappointed in the television, it has several flaws and I expected more because samsung makes really good dlp televisions. This one looks like it was rushed out.

Pros: Good picture quality and great colors
Cons: Whenever you get up close to someones face, the color changes and peoples faces look almost like paint or it fades out

What a TV. The HDMI 1080p looks very impresive run from a BD Disc from my PS3. The detail is a must see.
It has a better pic than other plasma and LCD tvs I looked at before buying the Samsung. And a cheaper price. About $1000.00
less for 10 extra inches of screen.
I must agree with some reviews about the TVs sound quality. Not verry good but, if you run an optical or HDMI cable to a good SRS recevier you will be very happy.
Over all great bang for your buck.

I have had this TV a week and I feel like a Kid at Christmas.... This replaced a 37" flat tube TV that worked fine, but needed upgrading for HDTV and stereo system. I can't find anything that I don't like except maybe the lack of integration of multiple specialty remotes... Digital HD cable, DVD, stereo, and TV remote have too many features to really have one learn all of the functions.
Otherwise hard pressed to find fault

Pros: Stunning picture, DVD quality is amazing, plenty of inputs/outputs, Irun my video iPod to play movies and music through AV3 (needs a special dock available for $150)
Cons: I don't use the sound as I have a home theater system, so I can't really comment fairly, but it should be ok for TV news, weather, etc.
